As many as a third of businesses are looking at the possibilities that Software as a Service (SaaS) can offer their companies. According to a poll conducted by Forrester Research, an industry analyst firm, larger companies are particularly interested in the benefits that SaaS offers. It has been suggested that smaller companies are the target market for on-demand technology, but the new poll demonstrates that larger firms are interested in investing in on-demand solutions as well.
“The bigger the company, the more likely they are to be doing it, despite the hype that the small companies will go first,” said Frank Gillett, vice president and principal analyst for general cloud computing at Forrester.
