For the second time in four years England have regained the Ashes against Australia in crickets longest running epic contest, winning the series 2-1 after Sunday’s 197-run victory in the final Test at the Brit Oval in London.
England’s strike bowler, SoftCo-sponsored Jimmy Anderson, played his part in the remarkable 2-1 Ashes series victory. In the first test match in Cardiff, Jimmy and Monty Panesar conducted a minor miracle at the end of the batting order, fending off 69 Australian deliveries to earn England a valuable draw. Anderson was one of England's most impressive performers with the ball taking 3 for 36 as England went on to capture the second Test at Lords and collecting 5 wickets (a 'five-for') at Edgbaston.
The England team went on to outshine their Australian opponents in the fifth and deciding test match at the Brit Oval, thus regaining the Ashes for the 30th time in its history. Many congratulations to Jimmy from all at SoftCo.
